Unmasking That Dark Destructive Voice We All Know - Part 3
In part 1 and part 2 of this series (please read them to give you the context to this 3rd part) I shared what were my 1st vivid memories of that dark destructive voice, when I had just turned 18.
In part 3 here, I am sharing what the father of lies, the devil, Satan, was whispering to me on the night when the old man, the old Paul before Jesus saved my life, was about to commit adultery.
The devil had carried on whispering to me from early on in our relationship, speaking lies which led to me beginning to feel paranoid at times. The devil was so clearly desperate to get me to a place of mistrusting my fiancee.
Little did I realise that all the lies, all the whispers, all the words that made be confused and had me doubting the reality of my life and relationship, would build to such a point that the devil would end up justifying to me why it was OK for me to commit adultery.
It was around a year after we got married, and at work we arranged a night out. It was a group of men and women from the same office.
Dead in sin, living as I always had under the powers of darkness with my sin nature, following over 10 years of the devil whispering lies to me, that night the devil said to me:
“Its ok, Clare has probably done something anyway.”
Back then the old Paul didn’t know he was battling with the devil.
Back then the old Paul hadn’t been saved by Jesus.
Back then the old Paul wasn’t able to resist the devil so he would flee from him.
Back then the old Paul was a wretched sinner, wearing a mask to the world, living a picture-perfect life.
Never, ever forget, and tell others too - that dark, destructive voice we ALL battle with is the devil, Satan, the father of lies.
The devil is well and truly unmasked and will continue to be unmasked in more and more peoples lives, all glory to God.
